Dinosaur Adventure Show with Field Paleontologists, Mike and Roberta Straka

Dinosaur Adventure Show with Field Paleontologists, Mike and Roberta Straka

Come join an exciting dinosaur adventure with field paleontologist Mike and Roberta Straka.

Finding a dinosaur may be accomplished by one person but, getting a dinosaur out of the ground is always a team effort.  During the show, they will explore all the different skills that come together on a paleontological dig. Audience members will experience the thrill of digging up a real Triceratops dinosaur bone and then help construct a dinosaur on a large cut-out.

The show will feature the skull of Mr. Nixon, an eight-foot Triceratops skull discovered by the team in 1996, and examine the characteristics of this dinosaur.  Audience participation, a touch of magic, and show and tell with rare fossils will round out this fun, educational and exciting adventure! As an added attraction, Mike and Roberta will set-up a mini-museum, showcasing photos and minerals from their summer digs in South Dakota! Appropriate for grades K-8.
