We’ll discuss the various types of meeting room policies that libraries can implement, from reserving spaces for community groups to regulating usage for non-library events. Attendees will learn what is and isn’t allowed in library meeting rooms, ensuring that policies are both inclusive and consistent with the library’s mission.

Key topics will include how to enforce room usage equally and fairly, preventing misuse or conflicts, and ensuring your meeting room policies are clear, accessible, and reflect the needs of all users. We’ll also cover the essential components that every library’s meeting room use policy should include to be legally sound, comprehensive, and easy to follow.
