Board Meeting Prep and The Critical Partnership at Cordelia A. Greene Library

In-person at Cordelia A. Greene Library in Castile, NY on September 17.

Effective board meetings require preparation, clear communication, and follow-through. In this session, we will explore the crucial steps every trustee should take to prepare for monthly board meetings, ensuring they are informed, engaged, and ready to contribute meaningfully. We’ll dive into the importance of having clearly defined roles for the library director and how these roles help streamline decision-making and accountability.

Attendees will also learn best practices for communication between meetings, focusing on how trustees and the director can maintain an open, transparent flow of information to keep all parties aligned. We’ll discuss strategies for handling board actions after meetings, including how to properly document, track, and implement decisions to ensure progress and accountability.
