Alzheimer's Support Group

Alzheimer's Support Group

Alzheimer's Association support groups are safe spaces for caregivers and loved ones of people with dementia to connect with others who have similar experiences.. This in-person, monthly meeting offers participants opportunities to:

  • Share information: Exchange practical suggestions for caregiving, learn about community resources, and get the latest information about dementia
  • Develop coping skills: Talk through issues, share feelings, and find ways to problem solve
  • Provide mutual support: Find encouragement and wisdom from others, and make social connections

Support groups are facilitated by trained individuals and are free and open to the public. Some say that while groups can be a place to cry, they can also be a place to laugh!
