Home Alone
This class teaches children ages 8-12 how to behave responsibly when home alone. Students will learn basic first aid, safety when answering the phone or door, internet safety, and reacting to emergencies such as power outages and fires.
Knowing when your child is ready to stay home alone is a difficult decision; preparation can make the transition much easier for you and your child. Registration is required.
For this course parents will join the students at the end to discuss some of the topics they learned while in the class and talk about state requirements attached to being a child home alone. If you have any questions about the class please call the library at 315-589-2048.
