Tales with Toby the Therapy Dog In-Person
The Tales with Toby program provides young readers with a unique and supportive environment to practice their reading skills. Children are invited to read aloud to Toby who is a trained therapy dog.
Why Therapy Dogs?
Therapy dogs are friendly, patient, and comforting, making them perfect reading companions. They help build children’s confidence, improve fluency, and foster a love for reading—all while creating a positive and stress-free experience.
How It Works:
- Who Can Join: This program is open to children of all reading levels.
- What to Expect: Each child gets to read one or two books to Toby. Bring a favorite book or choose one from our collection!
Please register in advance to Toby knows what to expect and then just show up between3:45 pm- 4:15 to the children's area!
