Read or listen to Abby Wambach's book, "Wolfpack" then join a virtual panel discussion with soccer champion and author, Abby Wambach, highly acclaimed automobile dealer, Kitty Van Bortel, Pal-Mac valedictorian and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow Physician, Dr. Alana Koehler, local entrepreneur and owner of the Dog Eared Book, Carrie Deming and Dr. Darcy Smith, principal of Pal-Mac Middle School which has been designated a School of Character; about how women can be empowered to create gender equity for all.

Join the conversation on International Women's Day, Monday, March 8th at 2 pm. Hear the experiences of local, female leaders, share ideas for supporting one another to overcome submission and rise to a place of fearless equity.

This program was funded by a Libraries Transform Communities grant from the American Library Association in cooperation with the Association of Rural and Small Libraries.  The library is also working with Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County to promote both reading the book and attending the discussion.  Books in print and audio format are available at most libraries within the Pioneer Library System.  The Dog Eared Book located at 450 East Main Street in Palmyra, NY will also have copies of the book available for purchase.
