Musical Moments- (Reading Room)

The Library is pleased and excited to announce the return of the Musical Moments recital series for 2021 – 22.The series will resume on Friday, September 17, starting at 7:30 p.m. and will feature Harpist Donna Benier Taylor. The concert will take place in the library’s reading room, is free and open to the public, and will last approximately an hour

The program is titled "Farewell, Summer," easy listening, pop and Celtic songs that depict the sights of the season. Mrs. Taylor will perform on a full sized pedal harp. Information on harp construction and the technique of playing will be explained. Donna’s repertoire contains an extensive collection that spans decades of favorites and updated with current music.

Masks will be required for all individuauls attending the event in accordance with the Library's larger mask requirement policy. Seating will be the same as with past concerts, with no social distancing requirement. A volunteer will be stationed at the door to greet individuals and point out the vaccine/mask requirements. 

The MM series will also feature the following recitals: Classical Guitarist Ken Meyer (October 8),  Bassoonist Matthew Shubin (November 5), Flutist Paul Schliffer and Pianist Meg Heaton (April 8, 2022), and the Onyx clarinet quartet (May 5, 2022).
