Sound Waves on the Erie Canal

Sound Waves on the Erie Canal

Attend Sound Waves on the Erie Canal and enjoy the sounds of the 50s, 60s and 70s with a bit of Old Tyme bard dance music thrown in for good measure!  The free concert sponsored by a grant from the Erie Canal Heritage Corridor and the NYS Canal Corporation with additional funding from Friends of the Macedon Public Library.  Participants are encouraged to cruise in driving a classic car if they own one, as these cars are invited to be parked in a prominent row for participants to view while the music is playing.

This concert, located in the South Macedon Fire Department's Pavilion situated along Lock 30 in Macedon promises to be a blast from the past with musical stylings from String Fever, Old Tyme music specialists, The Old Hippies playing hits from the 60s and 70s, and Paul Strowe, "The Human Jukebox."

Families are encouraged to enjoy the tunes and to feel free to prowl the grounds which offer views of a working canal lock, playground, picnic tables, Butterfly Trail and Story Book Trail featuring the picture book, Joshua the Giant Frog.

There's lots to enjoy for all ages!  Hop in the car with some lawn chairs or comfy blankets and enjoy this fun evening starting at 5 pm and ending at 9 pm.  See you there!
